if u r taking indo, install CCTV to monitor lor. few frens of mine leave their kids (around2 year old) with maid at home. They monitor from work place thru cctv.. works for them..

oh..i thought u have 2 kids.. then i realised that no, u have 3!!! which rock have been living under???!!! LOL..I know what you mean about not wanting to spend on the new rocker. sorry can’t be of much help. But am sure there are mommies out there who have spares or are willing to sell them.

I heard about your maid woes from Amy…hope this second maid will be a keeper….all this maid business is all based on luck if you ask me….one way which you can sort of scare the new maid is to warn them that they will be people always looking out for new maids like her and promise her greener pastures elsewhere but what they dont know is that some of these maids are brought to construction sites to do hard labor or service the men at the construction sites as ulu as the Bakun Dam project thingy..this was what I heard…..and these maids will be helpless cause they dont have money and passport which they are promised to get…..so they better advise the new maid to think twice before running away

For No.2, I guess it depends on how your agent handle the maid. for my case, my agent did check with my cuurent maid (when she is in Indon) whether she willing to take care babies, cleaning up the dog poo and others. If she ok, then i proceed with my application. I find this is good as both party accepted on what agreed and No dispute shall happen.

But be frankly, I think i’m lucky that my current maid is mature enough. I told her that she is here to work and earn $$$, no hard works but to be my assistant in taking care my babies and my house while i’m away for work. As long as she does all her works, I had nothing to complain. (fyi, I’m used to quite fussy & demanding and ended to engage 6 maids in total within a year). Sometimes, we being as employer also have be reasonable and ‘open 1 eye & close 1 eye’ lor… rite? Of course, I did scold her for her attitude that taking for granted. After working with more than a year, i can see she starts to mix up with us (i mean our culture).
